Gifting 2nd copy(Normandy) to server acct ??

So before the Lic. agreement change, I made all my purchases thru 1 acct. I would purchase 2 copies.

Then use 1 on client and 1 on server. NOW,, will I have to ask support to transfer lic to server acct and hope they say yes ???

Or do I need to start 2 separate accts, for Future purchases?? Lame enough that they dont allow a "server copy" for free.

If the server account is yours why not use that account to make the purchase in the first place? would save some messing around and delay

 

There is no way of having a server run DLC terrain without purchasing, correct.

Because one of the 1st things I read was "Make all your purchases from, ONE ACCT.". So that's what I had been doing just that. So against their advise,(ED). Use the 2nd server acct for second purchase, making my purchases thru 2 separate accts.

Yes make all purchases from one account if you intend to use them on that account.

 

But if you are using the second account like a server or for another family member use that account to purchase.

 

It just saves time, and if support are busy it would prevent any delay if you wanted to use that second account quickly

This is very sad. Players are funding additional PCs and running servers at their own cost, promoting the on-line community and thus DCS. Can't we have a dedicated server version where missions can only be hosted, not 'played', unable to install modules and a second map installation possible for those that have purchased one for their player account?

It is the only way currently, and that will not change as far as I am aware.

 

Dedicated server is planned, but we have no information on it currently, when ED does have news about it they will pass it on.
