Crashes in MP

Recommended Posts

Lately flying the Viggen on the 104th server and it seems I always have these odd freezes, then get the DCS loading screen, the come back to flying a few kilometers away from the original freeze. It does this a few times after returning to normal 70 fps smooth gameplay. Sometimes it just outright freezes and I get the "dcs has stopped working" message. This is usually uopn final approach, over the AO, or while rearming. Any ideas? Logs attached.

Specs

GTX 780

I'm no programmer, but looking at the CRASH file it seems that you could try to reinstall your Visual C++ 2013 Redistributables. Reinstall both x86 and x64 redistributables, located here. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

Also, make sure DCS is running as administrator. When reinstalling Visual C++ 2013, you should restart your PC after reinstalling the x86 and x64 versions, respectively, regardless of whether you get a prompt or not.

Hi 1batz

try a cleanup and repair in my signature.

Looks like some gui errors, the crash however is linked to another problem and is reported.

Do you have stock nvidia drivers installed for your 780 or do you have the actual brand drivers e.g. MSI, EVGA or ASUS etc? I would suggest uninstalling stock nvidia and installing your brand drivers.

It's just a stock 780 so shouldn't the stock 780 drivers be ok? I can check when I get home tonight but I didn't even know there were brand specific drivers. Also I did do a repair but not a cleanup, a cleanup is jusf if you have mods correct? I can still do it.

OK, your nVidia drivers should be fine then. For example if you had an EVGA GTX780, it's always best to go with the EVGA drivers for that card instead of the stock drivers off the nVidia site.

You could try making sure all your other key drivers are up to date, e.g. CPU, USB etc
