UAVs at DCS

Recommended Posts

I would like to see here at DCS UAVs (unmaned air vehicle) Predator and GlobalHawk should be planes we could fly in Caucasus and other future scenarios.

For CA they would be a nice addition. Outside of that you would be just simulating sitting in a room, at Nellis AFB, looking at a monitor with a keyboard, mouse and joystick in front of you. :)

EDIT: You left out the Reaper which is more heavily armed than the Predator. Outside of CA the Global Hawk would provide some rather boring game play since it is merely a surveillance platform.

I see what you did there.:D

EDIT: Ooh, you also forgot about that one carrier-based drone that I can't seem to remember it's name, but imo could go good for naval ops for C.A. Then again, it's still in it's infancy stage.

Yeah, if you are talking about the X-47B, it is a long way from deployment.

If used with lotatc, the Global Hawk could provide for an additional sensor with a long loiter time. Other than that I do agree the drones might not be good gameplay elements.

I am sure the military has an adequate training program for that purpose. I, also don't think that putting "DCS: Predator pilot" on your Air Force application would have any influence on your selection for that job assignment.
