They very are different mechanically, but Gladiator Mk.II (and I) has low resistance in grip movement and is dampened.

Gunfighter gimbal is customizable, the feel in movement can be "loose", "hard", has damper effect or not.

For helicopter pilotage Gunfighter will better option due customization possibilities - no other comercial joystick can be optimized for heli in the same way, unless joystick done specific for this, example Komodo.

But if you plan spent ~100$, Gladiator is the best option - specially that you don't want customize one like suggested by FragBum.

  • 2 weeks later...

I recently installed a 7.5 cm extension to my TM Wartog Hotas.

I seems to reduce the effort to roughly half and doubles the ease of aiming.

It made a huge difference for me. I am talking baby finger effort and a nice gentle return to centre.

I have seen them on e-bay in various lengths as well but can't seem to find them today.

I got mine (and my pedals) from the link above. 7.5 cm is perfect for me anyway. I think any more would be overkill in some cases and could be hard on the internals.

This guy below has extensions in all sizes and different return spring weights. He used to sell on e-bay and had 100% satisfaction when he did.
