We are going to add its accurate ballistics for WWII AAA.

Unfortunately, I could not find range tables (firing tables) for British Bofors.

 

Gentlemen, could somebody visit IWM (I think, in London) and make photos of

What do you need exactly?

 

I work in Waterloo and could go there after work tomorrow.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

The fire control calculations will be done firstly for 88 mm regarding common rules existed in 40' for AAA calculators. It presumes constant speed and altitude hypothesis a for the predictor, like in Sperry device copied by Russians :) If we have the original Flak 88 mm manual (better in English :) ) we will correct the math if necessary.

 

Generally, the mechanical comutational device use slant range and angles from the optical director, then it goes to the non-linear eqations solution device to compute the point of impact and the necessary guns aiming.

 

If you mean real player's interface... we are thinking about it. For example, the director can be modelled as in CA, and the only function of the player is to hold the cross at the target and... measure the distance. :) If you remember that the range finder was STEREOSCOPIC :), I would like to get ideas how to realise it in the sim... :) VR? :)

 

Anyway, 40 mm Bofors gunsight will be done if we have detailed info about it.

Oh, thanks! But it's interesting to know if this document contains the Kd definition or example of use, because there can be possible differencies in Russian and American terms of using it.
