bartdude300
Hi Guys I installed DCS version 1.5.6 last week any everything worked ok I have since tried to start it up but get a message pop up saying " DCS has stopped working" A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. I am new to this so unsure what to do any help would be much appreciated. NeilWillis
Re-name your DCS World install in the saved games folder, and a new one will be created next time DCS World runs. If that fixes it, gradually feed back in the files from the old Saved Games folder until you hit the snag again, and you know where the issue lay. It is a part of the DCS World install that can accumulate errors, and it is never touched by updates, so it pays to renew it once in a while. Art-J
Or just remove only the options.lua file itself from the location seen above in your log and let the game build a new one (it's good habit to do it after every major update anyway). It might be enough. If not, do as Neil says. It's more puzzling why the file got corrupted in the first place... i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
