Jester986
I like how they mentioned that the MiG-23 is being developed by Razbam, as if that is a good thing  Isn't the "Channel Map" be overstepping a lot of the same spots the Normandy map is ? Can't they be merged ? Besides the mentioned above super excited for Vulkan, especially the new lighting system and oh my... the AI, looking forward towards the new AI and Damage model, probably what I am most excited about, seconded by the engine (vulkan and lightning) changes It is a good thing. They do good flight models and beautiful planes. Its advanced system coding that they struggle with and the Mig is relatively simple when compared to the harrier ARBS, TPOD, Etc. robgraham
can we get some clarrification on this section @matt/newy/nine. the DCS: Supercarrier module will also include a greatly updated Kuznetsov-class aircraft carrier (without deck animation), the Su-33 Flanker D for DCS World (for those of you who don’t already own it), and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer! We already know that the Super Carrier will work with out making the mess that the WW2 objects pack did (really think you should have stuck with high poly for those who brought low poly for those who didn't with that), believe that with the carrier it's you bolter all the time and the cats etc don't work. how is the Burke working? is it just a free addition to ALL users DCS etc but not releasing until the Super Carrier or ???. some of this stuff needs to be maybe communicated a little better on how it's going to be implimented, because lord knows none of us who run servers want another WW2 Asset pack issue were we put in a unit accidently on a mission and suddenly half our users can't join it because they don't own that module. i7 13700k, 64gb DDR5, Warthog HOTAS, HP Reverb G2 VR, win 11, RTX 3070 TGW Dedicated Server Admin, Australian PVE/PVP gameplay. JUICE-AWG
Why a DCS Channel Map when we already have the Normandy Map that covers almost the exact same area??? JUICE-AWG
No the Channel is a different area with high detailed zones in France and UK, wont be the same areas as the Normandy Map. AdmiralQuality
No the Channel is a different area with high detailed zones in France and UK, wont be the same areas as the Normandy Map. ANd no merging. Except it's not a different area, it's included in Normandy, it's just not filled in in detail. Anyway, Normandy performs poorly so just as well to keep them separated. But this still feels like being sold the same thing over again. And I assume neither map will actually have London? We're supposed to play BoB without being able to play Blitz? Teldja
No the Channel is a different area with high detailed zones in France and UK, wont be the same areas as the Normandy Map. ANd no merging. It doesn't make sense to me because the Normandy coast lines are on the "English Channel" Don't get me wrong, I am very happy to learn that the South-Est of England, the North-Est of France and the low countries have been created on a map to support WWII scenarios from the late 30s to 1945 and it looks fantastic ! Please, don't take it the wrong way, but I feel it would have made much more sense to merge both map from a customer point of view, again, to my opinion. Anyway, the newsletter brings a lot of cool stuff to look forward, 2020 is going to be great for DCS World ! :)

We're supposed to play BoB without being able to play Blitz? Normandy was just updated, you should try the performance boosts. It is a different area, and unlike the Normandy map, we are getting highly detailed areas in the UK. BoB would be nice in the future when we have a plane set for it. But London wasn't seeing a ton of action in 44-45. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**

Jester986
Hi Nineline, I was wondering if we could get some clarification on the Hornet owner discount? Will it be larger or equal to the preorder discount? I assume these discounts would not stack? Basically I just wouldn't want to see Hornet owners buy it at a 30% discount on preorder and then find out Hornet owners get 40% later. I'm not explaining myself well and I doubt that would come up but it is a potential friction point.
