Opened my Email this morning and seen the title for the dcs newsletter was DCS: A-10C II is here. Got me DCS, Well played. I am glad to see the Mig 21 is getting love which is great. I have not been using it much due to the Radar making the FPS not Flyable. Will Be watching with Non Clickbaited Breath to see how it turns out!

When can we expect the new effects shown in newsletter from 2 months ago? Next update? Or is this going to be one of those things that are "really close" for couple of months?

A lot of those effects were built and updated for the new damage model, and even though the modern stuff doesn't have the new DM yet, they will benefit from the effect improvements.

I appreciate your response. I guess you're saying that those effects are not coming untill the new DM for WWII, but why is it so hard to get clear answers here? Even if it would be just estimate. Can you share your own opinion on when it might be here?

When we make guesses and they don't happen some people get upset, so we have to be careful with what we say.

 

Its better to wait for the patch notes and see what is in them.

OK thanks. Just to clarify, are there gonna be any videos showcasing the new DM and effects before release? Or that's only done with modules?

Exciting news about the upgraded A-10C warthog.

Seems like it is going to be a whole new experience with the features add-ons, training missions and hotas functionality coming in it.

Sure hope to see Mr Wagner videos on the upgraded A-10C features before launch.

Yes, but who needs upraged A-10 right now?

 

Im sure that there are not many pilots, who wants it instead of finished F-16/F-18 or even Supercarrier.

 

IMO at this moment DCS should focus their work on way more important and unfinished projects like F-16, F-18 and SC.

There are plenty of people still actively flying the A-10 and have been eagerly awaiting the A-10C II upgrade for many years, myself included. Not everyone is solely flying the new shiny toys over other modules. Just because one team is working on the A-10C upgrades does not mean that everyone at ED is. It's best not to assume the wants of others :).

We have more than one team

 

F-16 / F-18 Will be getting updates in the next patch.

 

Super carrier team is working on features currently, briefing room is nearly ready for testing

I for one am very keen on the A10c II, I don’t fly the soulless beasts F16 and F18, I like a sassy ride!!

I want it and have wanted it for years before the f18 was even announced so this will be great! I’m curious to see if the FM changes will have the effect we expected.

Glad to see the P-47 additions there. Was kinda expecting some A-10C II news though, as the end of the month keeps getting closer. But I guess, someone's working in the lab rainbowdashwink.png
