Hmm a great amount of youtubers has access to the f-18 and the new map. The rest of the community can only look. Is this a new concept? Everybody wants the early access not only a bunch of youtubers. The concept that Matt only did first looks was in my opinion far better. A sneak peak. When the module came out. You can explore yourself. Now all things are covered before release of early acces. Please.ED we want surprises that boosts the adrenalin. While early acces comes in a week or 2. I am less excited then 2 weeks ago. This is no offence but everybody on the same startline is the fairest and gives the excitest experiences on the community. This is an advice from a concerned member of the community. Thanks

 

There will be plenty of surprises left for you to explore boedha :) :pilotfly:

I agree its annoying now most of them its like wow i have the F18 fly around for 30 mins vid ends noone actually show anything, tell a lie just one, But yea if they have it why cant we?

Really? So handing out review copies of any given games to paper magazines, websites etc, before the days of streaming and YouTube, wasnt fair either?

Mini Update today

 

Has anyone else just had a mini update?

 

My DCS just updated (approx 8mb so very small)

 

I came straight here to see what changed and there is nothing posted about it!

 

Definately a game update rather than updater update as a coulpe of mods I run needed to be reinserted back in.

Yeah same for me aswell but it was 2 mb to game around 6 mb to updater for me.

I think its just the updater, and the size varies if you have mods installed, and which ones.

I removed my mods (just control file stuff), and the update had no content, no download. Was more a checking of stuff it seemed.

Autoupdate_log.txt shows nothing either.

This is standard procedure for release. That Preview copies go out, these preview copies are not ready for Early Access, and things are still being addressed, ED cant control the quality of all the vids, but there has been some good ones.

 

These previews have increased Hornet sales quite a bit, so they work.

 

As for the spoilers? This isnt a Marvel movie, there isnt much to spoil if you know what the F/A-18 Hornet is.

if i run a game businnes, i would do the same.

youtubers have huge role to reach out directly to the target viewers. i would even pay some very famous ones.

Ya, I'm fine with it. The only thing I could see is some DCS YouTubers complaining that they didn't get offered early access. But of course that's EDs prerogative.

I am very happy to see that the sales grew after the previews. I hope it will be a sales success.

Explains things much better although you cant beat a good Xstounds movie even you should know that, Some of the previews should have been far more professional then what they were, Most were very disappointing.

Well I dunno about most, but some were too eager to just get in and show it off, the Hornet while easy to fly, is still gonna put you in your place if you dont respect her and have a manual by your side :)

 

Frrogle's vid was a good one from today, you could tell how excited he was, but really showed off the Hornet, but he has been doing this a long time too.
