This video was made for fun and the massive excitement surrounding both DCS World and the new Top Gun movie coming out this year!

The sources of some of the audio and video is from Top Gun.

Everything looks better at sunset :)

except FLIR and SC angled deck and line-up lights:(

It's one of them 'Mad skills' vid clips :smoke:

Starts with Mk-84 x4 Auto loft then inflight refueling and finally Case I (from break to trap via bolter) with sun glare in my face at all critical moments.

The stutter on Abe was actually not that bad without too much junk laying around. Full shadows + PD 2.0 in single player of course!

A valiant effort. Wish I wasn't so low at the ramp. Might have planted the hook between the 2 & 3 wires.

Nellis AFB ready on the ramp : Wingman crash

I have a interesting situation I have observed in a F/A-18C Instant Action Mission. I'm fairly new, ~2 months into DCS and the F/A-18C.

Selected: Instant Action->F/A-18C->Ready On the Ramp->Nellis.

What ever you do, be sure once you apply power and start to taxi toward the runway for take off, either you need to depart immediately or stay left of runway center line. If not, your wingman will taxi out and crash into you if you stop in the middle or right side of the runway center line! Sometimes, it is entertaining to watch.

BTW: I still need to figure out how to post an image directly in the message, and not just as an attachment.

My First A2A Refueling

Yay!!! Success!! The huge difference was adjusting the stick curves (20%/20% + 3%DZ worked for me). Far from perfect, but I finally managed to do it. Now it's more practice and then trying out A2A refueling in the other birds.

A shameless plug: A compilation of Blue Flag Persian Gulf A2A missions with the Hornet. 5 kills in one day (Sun 28th of June), with some nice ad hoc cooperation with CardinalPoint. Includes commentary and Tacview overlay.

The aspect ratio gets better around 4 minutes.

I'm relatively new to video editing, and not that good of a pilot, so feedback is very welcome.
