Air-to-Air Distance Scale inverted

Hi,

 

the radar distance scale seems to be broken for me.

 

When i have the ASP-PFD Gunsight Mode in the Gun position, then the distance shown on the radar distance scale is between 1 and 9 kilometers.

If i have the Mode switch in the Missile position, the distance shown is between 0.4 and 2 kilometers.

 

As far as i understand it should be the other way around?

Yeah, it's goofed. The only time the 9 km range scale is used is:

 

Air, MSL, LNS, S, AUTO. In every single other configuration either the 2000m or mil scale is used.

 

The scale to the left of the sight (marked 2 to 4.5) should also show missile travel potential and be relatively constant the entire attack. It should not show radar range.

Well, no, as you can see in the video this configuration results in the 2000m scale being used.

If i however use Air, MSL, GUN, S, AUTO the 9km range scale is used.

 

FYI: at around the 25 second mark i get within 2000m.

IIRC in real life the use of the upper or lower scale depends on the position of the CC/GYRO switch.
