VIKBELL Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 Well thank you ED or Belsimtek for fixing the F-5E jettison issues. There are 2 categories of fighter pilots: those who have performed, and those who someday will perform, a magnificent defensive break turn toward a bug on the canopy. Robert Shaw
Dino Might Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 No longer causing crashes with selective jettison? I admit, I haven't tried it for months and always just emergency jettison all for now.
Max_Rogue Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 I've recently dusted off my F-5, and been doing some training/practice missions. I can assure you, my selective jettison is working properly. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
JABO2009 Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 May I add 2 question regarding jettison here ? Yesterday I lost an MP Aerial combat because I forgot to jettison my mid fuel tank... 1. Is there a quick key for the jettison of the mid fuel tank ? .... (Control + W) I remember for FC3 planes.. 2. do I Need to swith the fuel System then or is there a Auto Setting for automatically switching fuel system to in board fuel tank? . probad Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 (edited) use the round emergency jettison button for combat jettison. fuel pump switches can be left as is until the end of combat without adverse effects. aircraft always draws from internal, when you turn on external fuel pumps they start moving the fuel into the internal tanks (as opposed to directly feeding the engine) so you do not have to fear cutting off the fuel supply. Max_Rogue Posted July 5, 2017 Posted July 5, 2017 Just a warning, if you are carrying any bombs or rockets, and you hit the emergency jettison, you will lose those, as well. It drops everything but your wing-tip missiles. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
VIKBELL Posted July 5, 2017 Author Posted July 5, 2017 yes for sure it does. There are 2 categories of fighter pilots: those who have performed, and those who someday will perform, a magnificent defensive break turn toward a bug on the canopy. Robert Shaw
