I was wondering if Razbam was going to make Inert weapons for the Mirage? We use them in training on the A-10C so that way you can get a feel for the jet and how it handles with the weight. I would like to do the same on the Mirage as well.

Use the weapon selector to the right and dont arm the bombs.

What is the difference?

The colour of a inert bomb?

A inert bomb has the same weight and aerodynamic perfomance of a real bomb, but without exploding when released.

So launching a inert bomb is the same as using a defused real bomb for training purposes.

If you mean little training bombs thats another thing of course. But the weight and feel of the jet with inert or real bombs are the same because the weight and aerodynamics are the same.

That's not the point.

The main difference (apart the colour) is that the training munitions will leave a puff of smoke in the place where the bomb hit the ground (or preferably target). Which is useful to see whether you hit it or not without having to revert to F6 view.

So I think it would be useful, yes.

I've never understood the point of inert bombs in this game. Just drop a real bomb, the explosion shows you the place of impact. And yes, this is realistic, because armed bombs are beeing dropped in real life training as well.

Why don't you use the "immortal" function to your targets?,that will be the effect you are looking for.

You can train for infinite time, and your weapons will have the good aspect.

This is one reason, and two my vFS has rules in place for live munitions and inert training ones. At least as far as the NTTR. So it would be useful to have inserts so that way I can continue practicing overhead breaks when I have missles and other FFO. I know his isn't a real plane but we try to fly as close as we can, which is a ton of fun for me. And on a quick side note, Baltic your campaigns are awesome. Can't wait for Red Flag!
