A generic RAAF 451 Squadron Spitfire April 1945 ,the squadron's crest consisted of a fawn coloured kangaroo with a Joey in the pouch firing a shanghai.

Actually met Bobby Gibbes and Ted Sly at a Temora air show once. Both very nice blokes and patient with all the dumb questions aircraft enthusiasts (like me) tend to ask at air shows. Very easy to talk to.

 

 

Ended up with an autographed copy of Ted Sly's book "Luck of the Draw" (Ted's autobiography and wartime service in 457)

ebook "Alamein to the Alps" which is the operational history of 454 SQD who carried out a pretty important and unusual role in the Med and later Italy. Not the average WW2 aircraft flown too so I find it quite interesting.

Thanks for the Links Stoney, i reckon theres lots of good reading for me there. Im envious you met those great blokes, great Australians, each one of them. Il have to make my way down to Temora one year, id like to see the aircraft like Lowy's Spit and the Sabre's. Cheer's mate.

Do you intend to upload them to the ED repository? Ugh... based on previous experiences I fear it's going to take ages for them to "approve" 10 skins before they're put on the website.

After some initial flight testing, one thing kind of stands out a bit like a sore thumb ;). Both coolant radiators are light grey on all skins (strangely, oil radiator is dark), so they're probably a bit too visible from the front while looking into the ducts. The rest looks lovely so far.
