Sylosis
I've searched the forum and Google for other posts on this but didn't find anything. As I am flying the campaign, the altimeter on the Mirage stops going up at a certain value, which changes depending on the mission. It is usually in the 20000 ft range. On one mission it was stopping at 21600 and on another campaign mission it was more like 23900. I can still climb, but the altimeter won't give me the altitude. It will be stuck at a certain number. The needles will only start moving again once I am lower than that weird virtual limit. Thought it would be a problem with pitot heat, but I always turn it on at start-up... So I don't know...? Sylosis
Pitot heat ? As I said, I make sure to turn it on every flight during engine start-up. myHelljumper
As I said, I make sure to turn it on every flight during engine start-up. Sorry, I did not see your last line, can you provide a track highlighting the issue so we can see if it's the same for everyone ? Because last time I flown it was working correctly up to 40k ft. red_coreSix
There is a similar issue in the F-15 at the moment where it sometimes stops displaying altitude changes and freezes the altimeter, usually in the angels 28-35 region. It unfreezes once climbing above that. So it may be an ED issue.

frumpy
As I said, I make sure to turn it on every flight during engine start-up. Pitot heat is rather for airspeed measurement, not altitude. :)
Azrayen
Correct. But the switch is in fact labelled ANEMO short for Anémométrie which means that it triggers air data sensors heating, not "just" pitot heating.

Theo95
I'm getting this bug in 1.5.7 while playing the M2k's campaign. Altimeter freezes at 23,470 ft (value from the info bar) Unfreezes at 36,150 ft but it no longer displays the accurate altitude. Should also note that while it's frozen I can still change the displayed value by changing the barometric pressure value.
Wizard1393
+1 also had this issue playing the campaign a few weeks ago. Have not tested it on the latest release that came out yesterday.
