It’s always difficult to define Tankers track points : it needs to be secured but not too far from useful areas !

With DCE it’ Not possible to know which kind of Tanker will use which tanker track : I defined Tankers tracks coordinates and Tankers squadrons. DCE choses randomly which squadron will use one tanker track. The best will be to redefine Tankers tracks point and may be not use S-3 Tankers. If you want you can give me coordinates you think are good ( x and y is better with alt+ y on editor) and I will see what I can do ;)

All DCE campaigns seem to be broken with the latest patch. I get the same mission over and over. It seems it gets stuck somehow

 

 

 

 

After each update you have to modify Missionscript file in scripts folder (please look in the readme file with the campaign you downloaded) :)

I have a question. Do your older campaings like the Mirage, F5, Fulcrum etc work with AD 11.0.5?

If not would I be asking a lot by requesting an update on these campaigns?

Well I prepared them for the “new” DCS system but I was distracted by “aeronaval” operations with Hornets and Tomcats ;)

I will look for last changes compatibility ( we prepared a new 11.0.6 mod :) )

I am trying the Hornet PG campaign now, but I am running into to some issues...:(

First of all, my wingman won't move towards the cat, doesnt matter what I do. It was suiggested earlier that removing all items on the front of the CV in the base_mission file would fix that, but for some reason I don't see any items on the front of the CV in that mission. Just the static planes.

Secondly, sometimes just after I spawn I get a CTD. Looking in external view the plane suddenly changes into its damaged model, after which the game crashes.

Are there any known fixes for these 2 problems? Or is it just another case of ED fixing 1 thing in an update and breaking 5 other things?

Can't wait to try out the campaign in all its glory, it looks like just the thing that DCS needs!

Seem to have fixed the not taxiing part, I found the characters on the carrier and managed to delete them.

Now the game just crashed every single time I start a mission. I noticed a little error message in the bottom of the screen when it crashed, took a picture of it with my phone and added it to this mail. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I've pretty much given up on the carrier campaigns for now. I know it's an ED problem but it's hit or miss whether you get blown up on spawn or a semi submerged ai floats into you. I changed a few things and made a f14 campaign from a land airbase. So far it's brilliant with no problems.

To play with two different types of aircrafts you need :

-To be on the same side.

-To be in the same package : for that, to help mission generation, select a main mission (Strike or Antiship Strike) for the first selected plane for Strikers or a secondary mission (SEAD, Escort) for capable planes. The secondary plane type should be able to find the good mission to be on the same package : Escort or SEAD in the first case or Strike, Antiship strike in the second case...

I literally just asked for the warthog but could you make the F-5E Tiger II into the cold war DCE Campaign? I'd love to fly cold war type combat with my friends!

 

 

This campaign was made by Mbot :) DCE creator :thumbup:

I don't have any cold war campaign ready and I'm working on a new Caucasus campaign with US TF only against russian forces so it will be difficult for me to do quickly this kind of campaign. All I can do is to actualise and upload an Iran-Irak war variant I made before Tomcat release with Iranian Tiger squadron. You will have to attack ground targets and intercept Irakian's Mig-21, Mig-23, Su-17 (you can do to Air to Air missions only if you change squadron missions in oob_air_init.lua )

I made a little mistake in Warthog campaign which should make hotstart and intercept_hotstart not working (this one not really useful for warthog ! )

 

 

I corrected the files in uploaded files but if you don't want to reinstall the campaign simply open the "camp_init.lua" file in "Init" folder with Notepad++ and change last lines after line 30 :

Instead of :

 

 

hotstart = false, --player flights starts with engines running

intercept_hotstart = true, --player flights with intercept task starts with engines running

debug = false, --debug mode

 

 

 

You should read :

 

 

 

debug = false, --debug mode

-- hotstart = false, --player flights starts with engines running ---- change it in init/conf_mod.lua

-- intercept_hotstart = true, --player flights with intercept task starts with engines running ---- change it in init/conf_mod.lua

-- ANY MODIFICATIONS IN THIS FILE NEED TO RESTART ALL THE CAMPAIGN USING FIRSTMISSION.BAT FILE

Hey do you know if for 2 player Tomcat campaign, is it feasible to spawn one jet? When we did that back in the days (when the campaigns initially came out) our dcs crashed. Are we forced to spawn 2 jets even if we only fly one?

How far are we from having just an Mbot Caucasus/Mbot PG where its not aircraft specific? You can generate missions for whatever you want. Wouldn't that cut the development time, since there's only one campaign to make?

One Tomcat should work : I have friends playing a campaign as pilot and RIO and they generate missions with only one human Tomcat in MP ...

 

DCE is not only a mission generator (for me) it’s a campaign with a squadron trying to survive war even if its outside life is not really simulated...

For me it would be difficult to change squadron on the same campaign but may be is it possible in MP style missions ? I never tried ...
