These campaigns look great, and I see it is said they are multiplayer compatible?  But a question, are they really single airframe only?  I.e. can players fly different airframes in these campaigns?  If so, will they be used cooperatively in packages (not that of a deal if not)?

 

If not able to do so out of the box, suggestions to enabling that?  Not afraid of the mission editor or modifyng lua files.

Yes you can use several types of aircraft

The limitation is that everything is focused on the main package which is the "Strike", above you ask for escort or/and Sead
Possibly a CAP that you divert to add an escort if you are missing planes

Thx.  I did run the .bat file for starting one of the campaigns.  i saw i could select several types of aircraft and mission types.  but what if an aircraft type somebody wants to fly is not listed in the .bat file for setup?  how to change that?

DCE only offers the flyable planes that are in the campaign, you can't (easily) change them.

However, Cef has created a Hornet over Caucasus CVN campaign where the majority of aircraft are offered

To change an aircraft type you will need to edit some campaign files at the beginning of this campaign : OOB_init.lua and db_loadouts.lua. If you change the squadron name of the new aircraft you will have to change this name in the camp_triggers_init.lua or to add it for reinforcement and of course adjust numbers of aircrafts if you modify this too.

I've installed Crisis in PG for Falcon and noticed small problem with radio communication. Both package and AWACS frequencies are generated in UHF band. Is there any possibility to force generating one of them in VHF? Right now handling communication with wingman and AWACS at the same time is pretty annoying, because I have to constantly switch channels in UHF radio.

It seems to me that the AWACS uses military frequencies, so UHF

Is there a fix for tomcat over the caucases? I can't get cat shots to work

Iran irak wouldn't work it said it was an incorrect zip file. (?)

I did get the p51 campaign working in the channel.  Pleased about that thank you

The ATC radio does not yet work in 2.7.0
you have to ask the bridge team for the start manually (via the radio menu)


Do you spawn at the back of the bridge or in front?

Thanks - we are done with Caucasus for now.  Had enough since we have been flying a Surrexen campaign there for several months.

Thanks, I will take a look -it does not look too awful difficult.  Can I add squadrons or should I only change them?  For our group we are missing the JF-17, F-15, Ka-50 (although maybe not viable in this scenario due to distance), SU-25T, and maybe a couple others on blue.  We know it is not super realistic, but some of our folks like to fly certain airframes as we are inclusive of people.

 

Can I ask for help with details if needed?  If so, where would you prefer I ask for help?

 

My two main questions right now are:

 

What does coef represent?  I see it seems to be used for mission/sortie types?

 

And to reserve aircraft get activated if necessary?

In general, DCE places the package on COM 1 and everything else on COM 2

This is not a problem on F14 and F18.

 

 

Can you post your mission? (the old one is located in Mods\tech\DCE\Missions\Campaigns\Hornet over Caucasus-CVN\Debriefing)

I used to play Falcon over PG campaing couple of months ago and everything worked fine, so I have no idea what causes the issue now.

ha, indeed, it's a pity
UHF only in COM1
VHF only in COM2

But it's still historical, so it doesn't bother me.
A bit like the Mig21, Hind etc...

I'm getting ahead of myself, but I think Cef thinks like me.

Yes in oob coefs are used to try to influence mission type creation by DCE system ...but it's not an exact science because we want to preserve the unique Mbot's DCE originality mission creation system 😉

Reserve aircrafts are used to compensate losses only : DCE will always try to maintain the squadron's base number of planes

Hum… not sure to understand your question ? Do you ask if I still need to upload some modified campaigns on ED files instead of using DCE-MANAGER ? If it’s your question : yes I need to do it for specific campaign files like Oob or camp_triggers_init.lua … it’s not possible to use Manager yet for this. Only possible for more generic files used in all campaigns … One day perhaps
