I actually got it to work my friend thank you.  It was operator error on my part. ( I forgot about f8-ground crew- request launch) However now I have your attention can I please direct it to something I am reasonably sure is a problem?  I have the misson file still - basically the problem is the flight deck is crowded and my wingman in two missions now crashes his nose into another f14. 

I need to check also - there's no radio options for the Roosevelt on my radio.  It's tuned right. However that hasn't been a problem - then again the enemy got me both missions I flew 🙂

@PB0_CEF Thanks for the pointers.  To add aiframes/squadrons, do I need to open the mission (either the first mission or the ongoing mission) files in the ME to add them?  or only in the OOB_init.lua and db_loadouts.lua?

 

as an aside, is there an easy reference to objects in the game?  airbases, squadrons/liveries, nations?  far easier to look them up in a file list or database than opening the mission editor.

Well it's not a good idea to edit the mission in Me in fact. The best is to add squadrons with new planes (and loadouts) and then generate a new campaign with DCE MANAGER 😉

You can look in others DCE campaigns to find other aircraft loadouts and squadrons : F-15C Eagle for example is available in Caucasus campaigns so you can Cut/Paste loadouts and squadrons names 😉

If you have problems : tell me I will look at it 😉

@PB0_CEFThanks!  I like that I do not need to open ME, I can then work on my laptop as it is very slow with ME.  Thx for the hint, I will search otherwise for that list and if available ill post back.  For expediency I will check other campaigns.

 

In general, are users able to select their own liveries though the rearm window?

What type of mission did you select during generation?

BUG REPORT - DCE Manager 3.9.16

 

When trying to update the Manager on my gaming computer I get an error dialog that there was an error updating the manger and to check the log.  I also get the message in the update status that there is no update available.  Checking the log I see the following entry:

On my dedicated server, DCE Manager updated correctly.  On both computers I have them installed in the same place on the C Drive, I run both as Administrator by default.  The only difference that I can see is the location of upgrade.txt. My Documents folder on my gaming PC which has the issue is:

 

F:\Documents\DCE_Managerupgrade.txt

vs.

C:\Users\Rob\Documents\DCE_Managerupgrade.txt on the Dedicated Server.

 

My default browser on my gaming PC is Firefox and on my Server is Chrome which may also be a factor.

 

Solution

 

I tried to download DCE Manager from the User Files link in the first post, however, it is only 3.9.16.  I solved the problem by downloading Iran - Irak war Hind since I knew it was the most recent and would have DCE Manager 3.9.17.  The problem is now solved for my this time, however, others may have difficulty updating from 3.9.16 which may make troubleshooting more difficult when problems arise with campaigns.  It should be noted that the failed server address is correct and if entered manually in my web browser will download the correct file.

Thank you, I did try all three servers, I believe the bug is in the DCE Manager v.3.9.16 as both used Server n°2 and it is likely related to the use of Firefox as the default browser.

It works pretty often, since flight distances are pretty short. I also successfuly engaged F-5/4s in self defense with R-60, and it can work too !

Got it fixed, changed the PNG file and placed in /Images and everything is good to go. Thanks again for the quick fix.

Yeah Hot war in the Cold series. The concept is great and the SU-25 is a good plane, though the SU-25T would of been a bit easier with the excellent targets you have placed, but very well hidden and protected especially with no JTAC.  I will try this out to bait planes over and such. I will give the campaign more runs to see any other odd behavior.

Sorry about the prob dumb question, but I've done enough trawling. 

I've just updated to 2.7 stable. Do I need to use dce manager now? What does NG stand for? And the only campaigns updated to 2.7 are Cef's in the 1st page, right?

I have a problem with the Falcon over caucasus (v5.1) campaign. I can play the 1st mission and generate the 2nd one, but upon starting it DCS gets stuck on the splashscreen that says "loading".

Repeated twice, same issue. I am using DCS 2.7.2 (stable)

 

Opening the mission (attached) in ME and trying to fly it also results in the same issue

what is the version of your scriptsmod

If it is not the 20.47.112 version, do an update and start again.

Your problem comes from a lack of image of the target 106 SA-11 Site C-6.
The patch, normally avoids to list a missing image.
