CTLD troop pickup, dropoff mission - what am I doing wrong?

What I want to happen:

 

extract4 exists at start. extract2 is my late activation group.

 

a - Pick them up at pickzone 1. I am using the radio, other, CTLD, Troops, Load/Unload Troops radio menu.

 

b - Fly them to dropzone1, use the radio menu to drop them off.

 

c - Have them proceed along their assigned waypoints.

Triggers are set to deactivate extract4 and activate extract2.

 

---------------

 

What happens:

 

I pick up extract4, fly them to dropzone1, and use the radio.

extract4 disembarks, and executes a random route to a random blue flag.

 

extract2 never gets activated, despite the trigger (which is firing, because other stuff is in it)

 

 

I know I'm messing something up. Can't figure it out.

 

Any help appreciated.

This is one of the test missions.

 

The dropped off troops make a bee line away from their waypoints.

 

All I did was change the Huey to the Mi-8 since that's what I have.

 

The problem is that the group I pick up, extract10, is the group that gets dropped off at the ExtractGroupInZone. extract11 never gets spawned.

Managed to reproduce the bug and reported internally to ED.

 

Hopefully be fixed in a future ED Patch :)

 

For reference - if a group is destroyed using :destroy() then triggers will no longer apply once its respawned. If it dies normally and is respawned, its ok

I know this is an old thread, but did this bug ever get resolved? I’m trying the tropp deployment mission as described and it doesn’t seem to work for for the reasons mentioned above.

Unfortunately there has been no resolution to this problem... it is still broken in that the CTLD offloaded group or unit ID will not be recognised by any trigger. The Group ID is still correct if you check with the F10 but DCS will not act on it.
