ebabil
Hello, I will probably make a system upgrade if my cash income plans will meet. i would like to get an 8700k and z370 becasue had been very happy with my old 2500k with little overclock. But my concern is, this main board will only support single cpu serie. so no cpu upgrade will be available. But i heard that amd will support current mobo's with further cpu series, so if i buy a ryzen cpu, i will be able to upgrade it to zen2 series cpu's with same mo-bo. Is there any amd 1700 owners around here? what do you think i should do? Konovalov
Hopefully Intel will release the desktop Coffee Lake CPU's by some time in October. I would just wait until the reviews are out which I am sure will compare the 8700k against the 1600x and 1700. Also at that time we will know the all important pricing structure from Intel. But if you look at all the leaks that there have been on Coffee Lake things do look promising and it might actually be worth your while upgrading from that old yet trusty i5-2500k. And you could probably sell that 2500k on Ebay for a good sum to recover some of the cost from your new 2017 rig. iVVChewy9141VVi
AMD looks like a great choice. Even the current 7700K is good. I dont think Coffee will be out in sept
Pilotasso
Depends on the price. I have a sneaky suspicion they could be higher than the 350$ they are charging for the 7700K now, and the launch will be rushed and plagued with problems (as Ryzen was). But if the price is the same I would go 8700K (and I got Ryzen 1700x) [sigpic]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic4448_29.gif[/sigpic] My PC specs below:Case: Corsair 400C PSU: SEASONIC SS-760XP2 760W Platinum CPU: AMD RYZEN 3900X (12C/24T) RAM: 32 GB 4266Mhz (two 2x8 kits) of trident Z RGB @3600Mhz CL 14 CR=1T MOBO: ASUS CROSSHAIR HERO VI AM4 GFX: GTX 1080Ti MSI Gaming X Cooler: NXZT Kraken X62 280mm AIO Storage: Samsung 960 EVO 1TB M.2+6GB WD 6Gb red HOTAS: Thrustmaster Warthog + CH pro pedals Monitor: Gigabyte AORUS AD27QD Freesync HDR400 1440P
SVgamer72
Love my Ryzen7 1700 system. Runs everything I throw at it (including DCS) and I am only GPU limited (cheap 1070). If you have the money, the Intel system will benchmark higher, but it is really expensive to get that few percentage points advantage when you factor the CPU and MB cost differences.
