Nukes nuking the terrain, literally...

Hello guys,

 

I've been trying to use the RN-24/28 on multiplayer servers and, other then the fact that it seems to only destroy units that are above the explosion, it makes the ground passtrought,

It does this in multiplayer and singleplayer.

While the nukes are broken anyways and restricted on most servers, it's a shame, it's of course not for all scenarios but it's a very nice bomb to use in LOFT or Over-Shoulder bombing, but it doesn't do anything and it breaks the terrain :(. This might be due to the current DCS engine, only devs will tell :D.

don t nukes work as huge conventionnal bombs ? ( in DCS )

 

then it may be the result of the induced giant crater ( craters which are sometime broken, even with standart bombs )

Yes, but the game engine might not support it very well, anyways, fact is that nukes are useless and they create an "invisible" crater.

 

I'm simply wondering if nukes will ever work or at least do something with the current game engine ^^.

Try to land on an airfield that just got nuked :D.
