[REPORTED]Missing Textures?

Hey,

 

Just bought the module, loaded and see a load of missing textures in the cockpit ( seat,HUD,etc ).

 

I have tried doing a repair and have also deactivated the module, uninstalled it and reinstalled. Same textures are still missing.

 

Any ideas?

2: Devrim has very kindly offered an interim fix (which worked for me) as follows:

> Create a folder "SU-33-CPT-TEXTURES" in the same location of SU-33-CPT-TEXTURES.zip

"...\Mods\aircraft\Su-33 or something\Cockpit\Textures"

 

Yes! There will be one folder and one zip with same name.

 

> Open the will_that_fix.zip and copy all files into your "SU-33-CPT-TEXTURES" folder.

 

Try it.

 

If it doesn't work, please enter "SU-33-CPT-TEXTURES" folder created by you and rename all filename's "su27" part to "su33" and try again.

su27_cpt_glass_dif.dds -> su33_cpt_glass_dif.dds

 

I hope it will work.

I don't know if it's related with it, but what's your DCS version? OpenBeta or stable version?

It's open Beta. I haven't got Flaming Cliffs ( I understand that this isn't needed??? )

I have the exact same issue and also do not own FC3, I've tried most of what I could think of, I also force downloaded FC3 through the updater and from what I could see the textures issue was gone (at least from the 3rd person perspective of the SU-33) but I can't use it since I don't own FC3 as it tries to get me to use that version instead of the SU-33 which I've bought.

Maybe I can provide a hotfix for you (until ED's next patch). Could you please find the textures zip file, open it and send me a screenshot of the filelist?

 

It could be here or similar path -> "...\Mods\aircraft\Su-33\Cockpit\Textures\SU-33.zip"

 

You'll see *.dds files in the zip.

 

If I can see the file list, I can send you missing files.

Mine also looks the same however I did try taking the one from FC3 that I force downloaded and replacing it but it did not change anything.

Yes, files seem same as the ones in FC3, but some files may be called from Su-27's zip. That's why I upload here some files.

 

> Download Su-33MissingFiles.zip (updated! - Now includes the sealant (germetic) strip on the canopy).

 

> Create a folder "SU-33-CPT-TEXTURES" in the same location of SU-33-CPT-TEXTURES.zip

> Open the Su-33MissingFiles.zip and copy all files into your "SU-33-CPT-TEXTURES" folder.

Having Su-27 is solving your side. Su-27 cockpit files are shared with Su-33.

Ok. I've found.

 

Please download and unzip attached file. You'll get a DDS file.

 

Just like the instructions in 1st page, install it into "SU-33-CPT-TEXTURES" folder.

It will work.

Thank you for your solution - worked like a dream. I had a greened out, solid HUD, and now everything working fine. I did not have SU-27, which you have identified as the root cause. Many thanks.
