tangodownNZ
Hi all, I cant figure out why autopilot is not turning the aircraft onto the new steer point after passing current steer point. It just keeps going straight instead of turning.

lefty1117
If I recall there's little switch on the left side of the cockpit that changes the autopilot mode, one is for heading, one for pitch, one for pitch & heading ============================= i7 5820k | 32GB RAM | Nvidia 2070RTX | 1TB SSD
BuzzU
It won't change the heading as in following the waypoints. It will just hold the heading. Buzz
some1
It's not an autopilot in the traditional sense. Lol, of course it is. It just can't fly the route for you. Razor18
AP modes are Altitude/Bank, Path, and Altitude/Heading. Consequently it will not follow flight plan. It will only hold what he's got when entering any mode. Altitude/Bank is self explanatory, you can activate it in a turn (for holding over a point) or straight line, it will keep altitude and bank. Path means it will hold your flight path marker on the point it is when you activate AP. I use it to climb or decend. Altitude and Heading will hold both (flying straight and level). You can activate autopilot only within certain parameters reg. pitch, bank, speed and some more I guess. Manual says it in detail. BTW, did you try to find the answer in the Flight Manual? Look up page 138. It's a kind of magic...

Oscar Juliet
Yeah so if you haven't got the memo yet the A10c autopilot doesn't work the way you think it does. Simply different modes for holding a course so you can go heads down in the cockpit. Not fly a route for you. My Youtube Channel
