Stuck on loading when click on Main Screen Mission

Just in the last hour or so, my 1.5.7 hangs when I click 'Mission' in the Main Screen. Goes to the loading screen and that's it, just hangs there forever. I have to force quit DCS.

I've tried a clean and a repair, but to no avail.

Any ideas?

attach your dcs log folder zipped after it happens the log will give us some clues

Nobody got any ideas on this? I can only access missions by loading them from the Mission Editor.

run a cleanup and repair and make a fresh dcs saved games folder ( rename the old one and keep as a backup )

Thanks BIGNEWY. The problem was the settings.lua file in MissionEditor folder.

I replaced everything one by one in the Saved Games folder, and it came down to that file.

Don't know why that happened. I don't have any non-official mods installed.

I am having the exact same problem, mission screen loads for hours. I will test the saved games approach as well when I get home tonight

deleting the settings.lua file in the mission editor worked for me as well!

Another user here - seeing the exact same error in the log. Deleting the settings.lua resolved the issue.

I have to continually delete this file... Probably not every time I play, but like once a week. Anyone have any ideas what might be corrupting it?

Same fault here; however not that much of a problem (will there be a fix in short time?)
