MuggyMach3
hi, does anyone know if any future lock-on sims are gonna have a Mirage to fly. i was so dissappointed that the Mirage was a non-flyable. its such a amazing and agile little thing...that i wonder no ones made a sim for it any ideas if Mirage will be in lock-on? or are there any other sims where Mirage F1 or 2000 is a flyable? Pilotasso
Unfortunatly not that I am aware off. Some old DOS SIms did I think but the mirages have always been the black sheep of SIM makers. WHen its portrayed usualy its also badly underpowered. FanBoy2006.01
Yeah, I wish LOMAC had a flyable Mirage 2000 (Cockpit and every thing.). I realy like it. MuggyMach3: If you have not visited this site before I do suggest you do. http://www.mirage4fs.com/home.html It is Mirage Aircraft for Flight Simulator. Here is the bad news. You can not shoot anything and you can only fly around. But take a look: there are tons of Mirages for different microsoft flight sim products. I have just been there and just saw a Mirage F1 that I am going to download. http://www.mirage4fs.com/preview14.html

FrankTheSpank
One thing I've always wondered about the Mirage, where is the basket for the baguette bread? :D [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
nscode
You can carry them on inner pylons (so that you can reach out & grab them). Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.
Force_Feedback
The M-2000 is the most agile non-tvc-supercruize-gizmo engined fighter, it can make circles around the F-16 and Hornet, and gives by far the most impressive airshow performance. tflash
There are several excellent flyable Mirages for the "light" sim series Strike Fighters Project 1 / Wings over Vietnam / Wings over Europe (http://www.thirdwire.com). The so-called "Mirage Factory" released a wole series of detailed variants with cockpits etc. see: http://www.column5.us http://www.checksix-fr.com You can fly Mirage IIIC, CJ, E Mirage 5BA IAI Nesher IAI Kfir C2, C7 ---> they are incredibly good! It's nothing like Lockon, but FM's are good and fun to fly. Avionics is very basic. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

I agree it is absolutely a superb performer, but dancing around Hornets and Falcons? I don't think so. The M2000 has an insane instantaneous turn rate, but its sustained turn ability isn't the best, as it bleeds speed pretty quickly because of its wing configuration. But yes, I love seeing this sexy bird snap turn and roll! SU-30MKI F/A-18F ...Beauty, grace, lethality.
