BritTorrent Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Hey, I've been reading through the manual on how to perform take offs correctly, and I think the current location of the pitch carets is incorrect. First of all, the relevant paragraph from the manual. This is on page 7-36 of the A1-AV8BB-NFM-000-2008 It says there that a setting of 14 for the pitch carets should put them at 6 degrees over the horizon bars. Presumably this means that the neutral or 0 setting for the carets would put them at 8 degrees below the horizon bars. In DCS, the pitch carets appear to be at 14 degrees above the horizon bars. Which results in a rather steep attitude on take off. If you , you can see the carets are at 6 degrees. I understand that the ability to change it hasn't been implemented yet but it'd be helpful if the carets were set in the correct location for the time being. It looks like maybe the neutral position for them is incorrect, which is resulting in the discrepancy?
Zeus67 Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 My mistake. I read it as 14º instead of 6º. It will be fixed. "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning." "The three most dangerous things in the world are a programmer with a soldering iron, a hardware type with a program patch and a user with an idea."
