impossible to install this module

Hi all

 

I purcase this module this morning and i can not even install it.Now when i start DCS i have " fail to get authorisation data" then " multiplayer will not be available" and then "module av 8 b will be disabled"

I still tried to repair DCS 1.5.8, then to disable my antivirus ( avast) but nothing helped.

 

Can someone help me please ?

The only time I have seen this is when you hit cancel on the login screen when launching DCS.

 

Have you updated to the latest quick Hotfix? (DCS 1.5.8.12265 Hotfix 1) I would try that first if you haven't already Dieter.

Sorry to hear your having problems Dieter, I had no real problems with the AV-8B N/A module.

 

Just to confirm the steps, you have upgraded DCS to the latest Beta Build, Loged in and launched DCS, went to the module manger and let DCS close down and install the AV-8B N/A module.

 

login on start screen and start DCS Beta.

i tried to install it on the beta version. I am downloading the stable version to try whit it now; Hope it works

It will only work on the Beta Version for now anyway Dieter, no point in using the stable version as it will not install.

Hi all just going through posts regarding latest update and Harrier module not installing issues, I had similar hassle yesterday after trouble free install and testing on Wednesday just a thought check any firewall settings and or disable temporarily to see if it works, this seems to have been at the root of my hassle, I am continuing to check mine to see if it still works, let me know if this helps.

Yes it has to be something like a firewall setting Crowman, DCS only shows "multiplayer will not be available" when it thinks it has no internet connection.

 

Can you confirm it shows you login at the top of the screen on the home main page when you launch DCS Dieter.

yes i can confirm. I am currently re installing the open beta version to try a new version

This module has a new COPY PROTECTION

 

I would reinstall the module without your antivirus software on, it may have broken the installation when it was installing the module?

 

Other than that, your best bet is to open a support ticket with ED HERE

What I do is move between the stable version and the Beta version, if you know a little bit about the Windows command prompt, you can repair the install or change the install to any version you want.

 

GUIDE: Using DCS Updater to Update, Revert, Repair, or Install Modules

 

You first go to the "DCS bin location" using command prompt, wherever your install is? Then copy and paste DCS_Updater.exe repair

 

 

This also works with changing DCS versions.

 

Using the commands below, is how I change between the two version.

 

DCS_updater.exe update @openbeta

DCS_updater.exe update @release

Did you get the windows firewall warning? It almost sounds like you told it to block it, or the prompt never showed which I believe would treat that as a block response. Every new release of DCS my windows firewall asks for permissions. Just double check your settings for your firewall under the windows control panel.

Last time i disable my firewall and i did never manage to play this module. i think it come from the new protection.
