Error after installing 2nd copy: "vorbisfile.dll was not found"

I have 1.2a on my pc, and want to install version 1.1 so that the Training Tracks will play correctly. So, I want to install a 2nd copy in another directory.

 

When I try to install from my LOFC 1.1 CD it won't let me change the install path. The 'Browse' button is disabled and I cannot change the path. So, I manually rename the current lockon folder to Lockon 1.2a, so it won't overwrite my current version.

 

After the install, I double-click on the Lockon.exe on the Lockon folder (which is the 1.1 I just installed), and get this error:

"This application has failed to start because vorbisfile.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

 

So, I reinstalled it, and it did not fix the problem. I even copied the dll from my old install folder but now it says ogg.dll is missing. So, I copy that over, and now it says vboris.dll is missing....

 

What is up with this???? :cry:

1.2a does not exist for now.

Or it's 1.02 (For Lock On) or it's 1.12a (For Lock On + Flaming Cliffs). Be sure to download the right patch of the 1.12a.

Procedure: Install Lock on, install FC; copy all the content to another folder, install 1.12a over the original installation. Make the shorcut as you need for 1.1 (not patched).

PD: 1.2 will be the Black Shark addon, that is currently on development.

Oops! Darn, I always do that! Yes, I meant to say that I already have 1.12a on my pc.

 

It's been so long since I've installed, I didn't remember that 1.1 was an addon. I'll try installing following your instructions. Thanks for the help.
