Reflected
Very strange, it makes things much worse for me. It has the same effect as if I dragged the gamma slider all the way down. Shadows are even more unnatural now, and it messes up colors even more. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord

funkyfranky
FYI, using VR this setting in the autoexec.cfg brings down my FPS from 90 to 25 in the start screen! schurem
yup, same for me. The file murdered my VR experience by bringing FPS output to the low 20s. Too bad. Martin Scholz
Installed the DCS 2.2.0 tone mapper fix: now it is too dark and it took half the fps away https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ixXEpHrIndnHk9Y8isieViG6afPqbQSw https://drive.google.com/open?id=1vKXMDTITetCPEh5UY-s9oxD6vG9x5P0_ I will remove the tone mapper fix. Reflected
SkateZilla: thanks for the pictures! Looks exactly like on my end: gamma 2.2 (neutral, middle position) looks darker and more unnatural with the mod than gamma 1.4 without the mod. sam777777
It seems some people are misunderstanding the intention of the mod (correct me if I'm wrong OP). If you want non-crushed shadows (look around you at midday, very few things are actually pitch black - in the sim a LOT of things are) you have to turn up the gamma in game. I'm talking 2.4 or more! But then the game looks too bright, the horizon (for example) is white!! This mod reduces the brightness of the game, so that you can increase the gamma and not introduce those issues with over-brightening. Essentially, with high gamma and the fix applied, you will have less contrast. M0ltar
Really excited about this for 2.2. Unfortunately, my game had the FPS issues. My FPS in game fell to 13. Stoked for when this gets fixed as the colors for, as many others have said, are too bright.
