Azazel Posted January 14, 2018 Posted January 14, 2018 (edited) While using the NAV FLIR on the HUD in 2.2 I wanted to report some of the limitations I've found. With Nevada, the ground is indistinguishable from the sky in black or white hot. Objects are clearly identifiable though. In Normandy the ground sky issue is not a problem but I noticed that using NAV FLIR over trees and buildings seriously degrades my systems overall FPS (down to 18 FPS) and the entire sim starts to stutter quite a bit. Both test were done at night and with most settings set to high. Loving the Harrier otherwise, my first uses of NAV FLIR were today and I look forward to trying it out again in 2.5. Pikey Posted January 24, 2018 Posted January 24, 2018 I lost nearly 5 FPS with the FLIR on hud, in VR. according to the occulus debug tool. just FYI, expect a little slower, it seems within reason on just pure FPS though. Those on borderline FPS will struggle though. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
