fretwear
I'm thinking about getting a Crossfire mobo so I can get those "super aa" modes. First though I wanted to see if anyone else here is using it and if they had any Lomac issues. If I do it, I'll wait to get the second 1950xtx till a bit later in the year when prices hopefully plummet on this card. :D --------------------- FX 55 Sandy@ 3.03 GHz Tuniq Tower 120 DFI Lanparty CFX 3200-DR/G (2X) X1950XTX Crossfire@ 695 core 2048 OCZ PC 3200 Platinum (2-3-2-5) Antec TP3 650 Samsung 19" LCD (8ms) Saitek X-45 HOTAS Track IR 4 CH Pro Pedals :pilotfly:
Polo
Yeah, I'm running a Crossire setup using 2 X1900XTs - picked up the master card for less than half what the original XT card cost me! I haven't noticed any issues running Crossfire in any games (except Medieval 2 won't start when Crossfire mode is active) and the SuperAA looks, well, super! This is all on an Opteron 175 at 2.93Ghz using the latest Catalyst drivers (7.1) Formski Ryzen 5800X3D | 64GB DDR4 @ 3600MHz | Gigabyte X570-Aorus Ultra | Gigabyte GeForce 4090 | Samsung C34F791 | Varjo Aero | Windows 10 Pro x64 | Auzentech X-Fi Forte | too many flight controllers... Guest IguanaKing
Dual X1950s here, no problems at all with LOMAC, that is IF you use the 7.1 drivers. Some of the earlier drivers had little glitches here and there with Crossfire.
fretwear
Alright, thanks I wanted to check before I pulled the trigger on a new mobo. :) --------------------- FX 55 Sandy@ 3.03 GHz Tuniq Tower 120 DFI Lanparty CFX 3200-DR/G (2X) X1950XTX Crossfire@ 695 core 2048 OCZ PC 3200 Platinum (2-3-2-5) Antec TP3 650 Samsung 19" LCD (8ms) Saitek X-45 HOTAS Track IR 4 CH Pro Pedals :pilotfly:
emenance
i might go crazy and build x975x Albatron board. This has a digital clock gen and will be crossfire capable. BTW I am the only source for Albatron motherboards in the USA right now :) Asus P8Z68-V GEN3/ 2500k 4.4ghz / Corsair 64gb SSD Cache / Corsair 8g 1600 ddr3 / 2 x 320gb RE3 Raid 0 /Corsair 950w/ Zotac 560TI AMP 1gb / Zalman GS1200 case /G940/
britgliderpilot
Alright, thanks I wanted to check before I pulled the trigger on a new mobo. :) The limiting factor for Lomac (and of course Black Shark) is still the CPU - the clever Crossfire arrangements still can't deal with large numbers of units. Get a Core 2 Duo motherboard and an X6800 as well. And then overclock it :P http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v121/britgliderpilot/BS2Britgliderpilot-1.jpg

Gonna up the v-core a little and hit 3.0 gig with Crossfire...should be a decent rig until we figure out what AMD's gonna do in the next year or so. --------------------- FX 55 Sandy@ 3.03 GHz Tuniq Tower 120 DFI Lanparty CFX 3200-DR/G (2X) X1950XTX Crossfire@ 695 core 2048 OCZ PC 3200 Platinum (2-3-2-5) Antec TP3 650 Samsung 19" LCD (8ms) Saitek X-45 HOTAS Track IR 4 CH Pro Pedals :pilotfly:
