karlh Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 Using the 2.5 beta installer vs upgrade because I want to move DCS to a different drive on the PC. I am immediately asked if I want to copy the files from the ALPHA installation. Selecting YES brings up a "copying" dialog box but nothing happens from there. I've had to cancel twice. By selecting NO on the third attempt the installation appears to be copying files from the ALPHA installation right away. Oban Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 Yeah, It copies a few, when you say yes, but then the remainder show this sort of error for me "failed to copy as they're in use by another application" despite nothing running. brettmccl Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 I have my ver2.2 on D drive and ver 2.5 on E drive how do i move my nevada map over with out the updater redownloading it??
DieHard Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 My 2.2.0 Alpha was on a separate SSD. 2.5 OpenBeta install copied some files but did not hurt it in any way and left it intact. Before-hand I backed it up on an external hard drive just in case. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
