What are the chances of getting a more modern version of the Viggin? From what I've been reading the JA37D started hitting squadrons in 1993. We're maybe getting an AI model of the JAS though. Well technically, most RWR's and ECM systems in DCS are also very very classified. And A-10C, while extremely accurate has (from what I have read) around 80-90% simulation of the real systems. So if there is only a couple of classified systems, it might be doable. Actually I think that an early Gripen also would be possible. There are plenty of information, even online you can find studies about it's screen symbology etc. But an older JA37 is more likely. It was an almost completely digital aircraft compared to the other Viggen versions. In fact, the leap between the JA 37 and the AJ/SF/SH 37 is greater than the leap between the JA 37 and the JAS 39. However, at least a fighter variant would be nice, which from research seems to have been equipped with the Robot71 which is basically a Skyflash, this along with the integrated gun and radar would make it somewhat equivalent to a mirage in terms of weapons. Nevertheless it would be interesting how the selling would be done? Would it be a standalone plugin? Would it be a 'giveaway' for all those who own the AJS? And even then, it would appear that DCS would grow into some sort of IL2, which had an immense number of the same plane - in all variants possible. Developers are required legally to have contract with the manufacturer for the aircraft and its systems. Sure, but creating a full DCS module requires a lot of work, time and money, unlike an AI aircraft.
