Seen a good deal on a Samsung SSD and was wondering if it would be worth while using it to just put DCS on and taking it off my main SSD. Has anyone else done a similar thing and did you get better performance.

Many do this ever since the days of Parallel ATA drives.

You wont see any dramatic change anymore, it's just to stay on the safer side if you want/need more space anyway.

If you stream or record the flight, it is well worth it. The I/O while doing that can be quite high.

My C drive NVMe is also my (default) /temp for recordings which get finally stored on a HDD, DCS and other games reside on 2 independent Sata-SSD's.

drives are in my sig btw. NVMe = OS ; 850Pro = 2 x Games/VMware ; 2x HDD is for cold storage and streaming end point.

I have no scientific evidence but my habit is to only have my OS and various low impact applications on my C drive. Other apps on D and games on another. Due to the size of flight sims, they generally get their own drive. These are all SSDs. Spinners are just for miscellaneous data.
