Apologies if this has been covered in another thread but I can't seem to find info on this specifically.

I've been working on a mission to practice using offset waypoints in the Hawg and the M2000c.

I want to have the enemy units hidden on the map which is simple enough but I can't seem to get any friendly AI units to spew out "Enemy yadda yadda at bulleye yadda yadda".

I've tried placing a friendly TOW nearby as well as a friendly recon Huey. All the huey does is announce when passing waypoints. Also I moved bullseye to within 20nm of the enemy locations so I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be used as a reference point.

Any suggestions?

Right, I know AWACS does not call out ground units. I could have sworn I've heard ground units called out with bullseye reference during some campaigns but its possible I'm wishing for something that simply isn't implemented in the sim.

I suppose a wingman calling "contact enemy armor *** for **" is all we get?

I feel like it would be more efficient if a JTAC or some other ground command unit could call out enemy locations using bulleye as a reference point.

I just want to set bullseye on a waypont or tacan station and let them feed me the offset info so I can zero in on enemies faster.

Maybe ED will implement this at some point?

It has been there for a long time already. DCS -> Options -> Gameplay -> Allied flight reports ON & you'll hear them calling out the contacts they see. You'll have to be listening on their frequency, though.

I've never seen reports on ground units beeing given as bullseye reference anywhere. IRL, if clock callouts (or other visual talk on methods) are not sufficent, the position of ground units is usally given as grid reference or coordinates for more precise reports, but never as bullseye reference AFAIK.

If the abovementioned "allied flight reports" option is on, friendly AC spotting enemy units most definitely DO report them as vectors from the bullseye (i.e. gives their heading and distance from the bullseye as º and NM). Try it and you'll see.
