Dedi Server AI crazy behavior

Recommended Posts

here is a video of the AI on our dedicated server.

This issue is happening all too often for us aswell as server crashes?

V2.5 beta

does anybody have any tips on how to stop this?

only use tight VNC to connect to server (NO RDP)

Regards,

If you look at the open beta forums, you'll find lots of talk about the memory issue that ED is working to correct. So the 12 CPUs and 32 Gig don't make a difference when the memory leak chews through it all. I'm on 8 CPUs and 32 Gig and see it as well. The scattering of the AI looks the same as players on a multiplayer server scattering when lag/memory issue hit.

So this is related to mem leak issue?

It used to happen if you used RDP to connect to your server.

I have heavy CPU load on all cores even when there's no AI in a mission. Memory usage doesn't go out of bounds though?

Cheers for the replies!

The mem leak issue appears to be bug #1 right now. Once that's resolved may be a good time to revisit the AI issue you see.

In the meantime you could also visit the AI forum to see if this one has been discussed:
