Nealius
I'm still new to the Spit, but I'm noticing during flight my slip indicator isn't indicating any need for rudder during my turns. I also can't notice any slipping when I watch the cowling during my turns. In comparison, I recall the Mustang requiring at least some rudder during turns, and the Su-25A requires a relatively heavy foot during turns. I have "auto-rudder" off and Takeoff assist set to 0. I'm a little puzzled at being able to turn without touching the rudders. Is this normal for the Spit?
philstyle
Does this help answer your questions? Fenrir even addresses the differences between P51 and Spit IX, and why they are different.
