NakedSquirrel
This may be a somewhat of a repeat post about memory issues, but most of these threads are saturated with complaining and conspiracies. When I try to load in MP I tend to have extreme load times 15+ minutes. I inevitability crash from the server and am booted to main screen. Usually when I try to load back in, it will only take a minute or two. My buddies have the same issue, their specs vary. Today, I’ve spent over an hour and a half trying to load into a server. I tried a restart several times. I have 16gb DDR3, but dcs only uses 4-9gb ram. Graphics is a Nvidia 1080 and I usually don’t have issues. CPU is a i5 3.6ghz Dcs is on a SSD I didn’t experience this in earlier beta versions (pre March/April) Usually it only takes two times to load in, one long load and one crash, but today I’ve had major issues trying to load in. Does anyone have any solutions? ED Team BIGNEWY Posted April 17, 2018 ED Team Share Posted April 17, 2018 Hi NakedSquirrel try the crash advice in my signature, basically a cleanup and repair, and a fresh saved games folder to rule out any settings issues, this will also force the creation of a fresh fxo and metashader folder. The first load in will always take longer, it takes me on a similar system 5+ minutes to load in and a few more minutes to get into the cockpit. if you still have problems attach your dcs.log so we can take a look Forum rules - DCS Crashing? NakedSquirrel
I have the same question!!!I can join the simple server without the heavy mission, but I can't join the 104th server with heavy misssion, the symptom is the same as yours,I have 16gb ddr4,MSI 1080,256G SSD,I7-6700K It may be related to server population as well. I noticed significant difficulty trying to join blue flag with 40-45 players, but after a freeze the server pop dropped to 20 and I was able to easily load in. I’ll try a cleanup anyways. Reflected
Same here, only the 104th though. Takes ages to load, then I get 1 FPS, no buildings, he cockpit is not visible. It takes 5-6 minutes for everything to load finally, but then it become smooth. Facebook Instagram YouTube Discord
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted April 19, 2018 ED Team Share Posted April 19, 2018 before going into a server I bring my fps counter up. I join the server and wait until my fps has stabilised in the lobby, I then select my aircraft and join. depending on how busy the server is, your spec, the connection, and the server spec, this can take a while. BitMaster
Last weekend I had exact same, 2h ( my time window ) trying to get into a server. I finally managed to get on one of the big ones, it just took 15+ min. To be fair, my 1st try was ultra smooth, BF Server, just when I got into cockpit, also real quick, I saw that my TiR was OFF. Every try after that was a pita. Well, I guess we have to be patient in every aspect.
