Failed to get Authorization, Error Code is 409

Hello!

Yesterday, I have installed the new Windows 10 Spring Creators Update and I have a big problem now :(

When I runnig DCS World Open Beta 2.5, I received text: "Failed to gest authorization data. Error code is: 409, No saved authorization found."

I can play only with basic DSC World, wituout any DLC modules and terrains.

Before the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update everything was ok.

Please help me, how can I repair this error.

Best regards.

Michal

Hi!

1 - Yes;

2 - No. When I`m trying enter offline mode I see text: "Can`t enter offline mode: error 409";

3 - Yes, on the same PC;

I have the next statement from the game,: "A-10C Warthog" is not authorized to be used with your Account. Please, provide a valid serial number".

I don`t understand this :-(

Failed to get Authorization, Error Code is 409

On Sunday afternoon I began to be prompted with the login screen when starting DCS 2.5.1 then receive the following error when logging in: "Failed to get authorization, error code 409, no saved authorization found"

This is followed by the following messages regarding all my installed modules, campaigns and terrains: ".... is not authorized to be used with your account." It then asks me to provide valid serial numbers (which it presents) for each installation with the option to "bind" or "skip".

After pressing "bind" for each installation, I receive the following message before the game starts: "Failed to update authorization data, error code 409"

The game then starts but I cannot pilot any aircraft. All missions start me out in map mode with all aircraft present except the one I'm suppose to be piloting! :dunno:

I submitted a help ticket Monday afternoon but have yet to receive a reply. This is my first time submitting a help ticket, how long do they usually take to reply? I tried a cleanup/repair for the heck of it but that didn't do anything. Has anyone else experienced this before? Any help to get me back flying would be appreciated.

Thanks

have you been using off line mode?

or done a windows update?

I was using off line mode prior to the issue. It no longer allows me to enter off line mode and again refers to error code 409 when attempted. I don't recall doing a windows update just prior to the issue unless it was done automatically on shutdown and I didn't notice. I did update my motherboard bios the day before the problem began.

Checking Windows Update log, the last update was a security update performed on 4/10/2018. So it does not appear to be associated with a Windows update.

If You have Windows 10, version 1803 now, it means, that You have a new version, just like me, after the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update.

Best regards.

Yeah I do not think it is windows update related.

This has something to do with offline mode.

Edit: I have made ED aware of this thread.

My all keys are valid and FAQ did not not help me.

I deactivated all modules, terrains and campaigns, unistalled all DCS, cleaned the registry manually, and I`m installing and downloading DCS again now, but it will takes me about 3-4 hours. I`ll give a sign, how is the effect.

Best regards.

Guys please check your offline mode

if you go into off line mode you have to ensure you turn it back on before doing updates or going into multiplayer

can you clarify what you did when you went into offline mode?

All I did was click the little off line mode icon to try it out several days ago since I was just doing single player stuff (instant action, fast missions, etc.) I did make some aircraft control setting changes for my hotas while in that mode as well. Things seem to work fine in that mode.

Now, when I get DCS running after all the failed authorization login stuff I described earlier, the game is in regular on line mode. Pressing the off line mode icon generates the following message: Can't enter offline mode, error 409

Hey BigNewy, I did a test on behalf of this thread. I had not updated to Win 10 Spring Edition so I went into Windows updates and forced it to start.

After the update was completely installed and I had been through all the required reboots, I launched open beta 2.5.1.

First thing that popped up was the "Login Failed, Invalid Username/Password" dialog window. After I clicked that the username/password box came up and it was empty. So after the Windows update apparently your credentials get wiped clean.

After I re-entered my login information, I was good. No additional issues.

P.S. - I have not used Offline Mode at all to this point.

My assumption is that if you are in offline mode and do the Creator's update, the login credentials getting wiped out will hose your setup for offline mode.

Yes. I have the same situation like you.

Next i downloaded and reinstalled both DCS World 2.5, stable and beta again, and I still have 409 error in both DCS. I can only use and fly basic DCS, with Su-25T and Mustang on Caucasus. Rest of the modules and DLC I can`t see in the menu.

Very strange. I don`t have any ideas to solve this problem.

Best regards.

I'm back flying again thanks to ED. :thumbup: They did something regarding my authorizations and all is well again. I think I'll leave off-line mode alone since I'm still not exactly sure what happened. :dunno:
