Need to see if I'm missing something with rocket employment guys::helpsmilie:

Trying to complete the campaign mission where you take out a bridge.

The rockets are landing well above my crosshair...

QFE is set correctly, I'm turning off moving target but leaving radar ranging on. I'm waiting until two seconds after the range indicator starts flashing and the "wings" appear, I also have about a 30ish degree dive angle, but I've tried going steeper/more shallow but I still get the same result.

I've looked through the manual as well as Chuck's guide but not seeing anything extra...Is there a detail somewhere I'm missing?:joystick:

Exact same issue here, I read somewhere that currently QFE its wrong because ED changed parameters in DCS...

Can any one confirm this issue.

Also the F-5 colt stops during taxi... so I have to take off from another runway.

And Im having a lot of crashes exiting this mission, CTDs.

Wow, yea I'm having every one of those issues as well actually.

I've just been taxiing around the f-5s.

Just an idea...try calculating the QFE by yourself rather than reading it from the kneeboard since ED changed the atmospheric model, maybe the kneeboard data isn`t updated yet.

Also, rocket improvements update was mentioned to come shortly...

Hi! Thank you for your report. We're aware of the issue, and we're working on it.

Alghorimts simulating rocket ballistics used to compute the aim point require precise values of aircraft parameters such as altitude above the target, pitch and velocity. Even a small error in the measurement of these parameters can result in rockets hitting significantly long or short respect to where the pilot aimed.

Our Viggen utilises pressure sensors to calculate altitude, velocity and vertical velocity, just like a real aircraft does. And like in a real aircraft, we have to calibrate the system, and the calibration process assumes a set of conditions and an atmospheric model. Thus, when there's any change to DCS atmospheric model, we have to recalibrate. We've realised that the DCS atmosphere has changed again and our current pressure sensors calibration doesn't fit it any longer, so we're recalibrating. An improved model is being tested now, and the first results are that the rockets are back accurate. We're hoping to deliver the recalibrated sensors to you soon.

The M2000c rockets fly like on rails and hit the target all the time once your lined up. I wish the Viggen rockets were similar.

Roger that. Thank you for the info. Just glad to understand what the deal is!

Can't agree since RAZBAM has yet to fix the AG reticle. As it won't go up or down, there's just one exact range where rockets and DEFA actually hit at. That usually is the case when the pipper is just over the TVV. I had the best luck when the bar winding down roughly is at 6 o'clock. Try shooting at 2+nm which works fine in the A-10, the Harrier and any other plane, even the Viggen if you go back some versions. In the M2kC it's absolutely impossible to hit when aiming with that pipper. But I can agree that those Matras stay pretty stable on their flight path. ARAKs aren't bad either in that regard. By far the worst rockets are those shot from the LAU-61 in the AV-8B and what looks strange to me, the 2.75"es are as bad as the FFARs whereas the same 2.75"es are a lot more precise when shot out of the LAU-68. But all that is not HB's work to do.

And it's not that we have to properly set QFE. If you start at 10m AGL (Senaki-Kholkhi) and try to attack targets on "The Range" (you know, that X airfield, same AGL) at same-everywhere weather conditions, you should be able to hit dead on without ever touching the altimeter knob. But instead, they're even totally off when coming in at steep angles where the altitude difference should matter much less.

I'm eagerly waiting for that fix, but apparently the last update has brought nothing for us "Viggenites".

I'm getting tired to wait for a stable Viggen with really efficient weapons and ELINT/recce systems. Hope good updates will come very soon. Currently, only the Viggen make me want to start DCS, but weapons are not reliable (specialy rockets and bombs in some mode, and I'm on the release version).

All weapon inaccuracies should be solved for the next 2.5.X pointpatch.
