Mfg warthog extension with Virpil Base

Hello,

i just orderd the mfg crosswind rudders. At the moment I am using the thrustmaster warthog and therefore I also think about adding some warthog extensions. In the near future I want to upgrade to a virpil System or at least a virpil base.

 

Is it still possible to use the mfg extensions with the virpil base/stick?

Yes, both - MFG extension and and VirPil sticks have thread in Warthog standard (M36x2.0).

Just don't plan on removing it. There are many threaded pipe style extensions out there and every single one of them is liable to get stuck which will cause you to damage your base in the process of removing them.

My suggestion would be to get the extension directly from virpil since you want to upgrade in the near future. It is a bit cheaper, look a bit better and are of very good quality. (Not saying the the MFG ones are bad, I dont have one) However only real advantage of the virpil ones is the price and the nebulous advantage that you get the base and the extension from the same manufacturer which may result in a tiny bit better fit (basically to avoid what cichlidfan said)
