Not sure what you're smelling there then. We were told many times now that it is very difficult for Eagle Dynamics or any other developer to get a highly accurate simulation of eastern/russian aircraft into DCS World.

Yeaahh, no. We've been told it's AI only. I wouldn't speculate on it any more than that.

 

Also ED have a long standing project to update old models to a new standard, and there's a lot of AI models they need to do, this is probably just the next one on the list.

I hope they update the Tu-95 next. That's probably the most iconic Russian aircraft of all time (in part due to the nearly 70 year flight time) and is currently ultra fugly.
