Your values also do not seem to be symmetrical, but you do not have any misalignment. Maybe this is a bad trail. Thanks for your data.

Hello guys , I definitely cannot reproduce this issue with my headset Samsung Odyssey 800ZAA ,

Do you have any workaround ? Is it related to original Odyssey headset or reproduced only on Odyssey+ , can it be reproduced for other vendors ?

any other info will be helpful

Hi, had the same problem, couldn’t read the cockpit text and instruments. Then I found this post that to a big degree solve the issue:

Amazing ODYSSEY clear vision tweak !

Can you please post the correct link?

the one above point to a forum section not to the solution, thanks

Thanks to the latest update - you can now align the odyssey on the home screen at first log in!

i didn't know what is was at first bc I didn't see it in the update log

Relaly nice fix

I wonder how can I run the debug tool again...anyone?

I did a couple of tests later with the generated saved games settings file and it appears that changing it affects the main menu screen but when i enter the cockpit it snaps back to some other setting. it runs fine without issues of any kind its just that i wonder what does the generated settings file actually do..

Got that settings window, the first time. Changed a few things, now those options have disappeared. Anyone know how to bring them up again?

I got my Samsung Odyssey+ set up on Sunday and have been trying to get the best image quality combined with FPS. I am limited with my 3-month-old GPU a GTX 1060 .

I can get the graphics reasonable (a lot of jutter/flicker unless I turn on MSAA) with an FPS around 20 to 30. I have made many changes to settings and tested different MODS

I have no problem flying with it, I don't get a headache or anything. My biggest issue is that the HMD is leaning on my glasses and pushes them into my nose and it gets sore after 2 hours. I have the VRCover on order and should be here within a week. Most of my testing has been in Air to Air. I still have to test it with a ground pounder mission.

I am looking at upgrading my GPU, if money was no issue I would upgrade to an RTX2080 but I am unemployed at the moment, New job starting May 1

As I have a lot of time on my hands for the next 2 months I want to upgrade my GPU so I enjoy VR even more :pilotfly:. So I am thinking about which GPU to upgrade to, the RTX 1660 at $300, the RTX 2060 at $400 or the RTX2070 at $500. I know that with the RTX 1660 I would probably upgrade again in a year.

I want to ask where the biggest bottleneck it as the moment with DCS, would it better to go for the 2070 because it has 2 GB more memory. Or is memory not the issue and it more about raw power.

My CPU is an AMD Ryzen 7 2700 and I have 32GB of memory with 2 SSD which run DCS. I know DCS is not optimized for VR yet and there does not seem to be a clear timeline for that.

What would you suggest?

Thanks

You are pushing a lot of pixels with the Odyssey . Go for at least the 2070 .

For reference I have a 1080ti and with shadows low, everything else high, lens flare and heat flare off, civ traffic off, small amount of grass and trees and chimney smoke to 3, msaa x2 and PD of 1.8 it runs alright but there are some black bars dragging on the side, sometimes. They go away if I lower PD or if I turn off msaa. PD of 1.5 runs fine with msaa x2 but I think 1.8 is closer to steam super sampling of 200%.

2070 or 2080 it's what I would go for right now if I were buying a new card. I only upgrade to the Ti models so I'm waiting on the next one.

What you are saying is that there is a limit with every card :)

I am running open beta and I have Odyssey+ I now get this set-up window on every start. I have had no problem with the cross-eyed view so I do not want to change a thing, but how do I keep my settings and prevent this dialogue from popping with each and every start?

Click the Save and close red button. This should save a Samsung-Odysseyxxxx.lua file in your config directory. The existence of that file prevents the window from popping up again. Do I understand you correctly that still comes back?

Take the 3700X, you should plug it in your main motherboard. You take a huge benefit! DCS runs on the first two cores on your cpu. Clock it over to >5.2 Ghz and your the man! :D

Yes, that should do it. in the meantime I have upgraded to an RTX2070, the 2080 was just too steep in price. I also upgraded my power supply because of the new GPU. As I am typing this I remember why I stopped playing games on PC several years ago.... the constant battle of upgrading it. I stopped flying sims like DCS and played a lot of Battlefield and Call of Duty using an Xbox.

When I upgraded my CPU in September I was not thinking of DCS because I would have gotten an Intel CPU.

The 3700 will come out in July from what I can find.

Has there been any recent news on if DCS will support WMR controllers, as it does for Touch?

I think many of us may be jumping ship from Rift to the new HP headset, given this week’s news. I’ve just gotten into using touch in cockpit, and I like it a lot, so I’d like to keep that up when I switch to WMR if I can.

I'm interested in the new hp headset but I'm curious what type of card you will need to use it. I don't think the 1080ti will cut it.

Pretty sure the gtx 1080 hp is recommending is for application not as graphic tasking as dcs and other similar games. So definitely a higher graphic specs to run it.

DCS VR optimization update would help take advantage of this much improved resolution WMR.

Yeah I'll probably get it but I don't plan on upgrading my 1080Ti to a 2080Ti at all at least not until the next set of cards come out. I'm fine with the Odyssey for now since no new cards are out.
