kurtz667
Hey guys, i know i'm kinda on a low end rig, if it goes for VR But since last update 2.5.1.16978 i have this micro-stutter with the mig-21 in VR. Especially noticeable if you're looking at a static objects on the map whilst flying by. I did a roll back to 2.5.0 and it runs smooth as butter, had no problems with the 2.5.1 previous version as well. My settings are the lowest you can go, except for anisotropic filter. My cockpit shake is at 0 cleaned up the data and fxo folder under saved games, and the mig-21 texture folder. But no luck So i wonder if any of you 1070+ high end pc-owners have any stutter atm? Thanks in advance,:) Spoiler Modules: FC3, KA-50, MIG-21, F-18, F-14, UH-1H, Spitfire, F-5E, A-10c II, A-4E, SC, F-16, CA, M2000c, BF-109K-4, Mi-24P Terrains:Nevada, Persian gulf, Normandy + Asset pack, Syria PC setup:I7 8700k, 32g ram, m2 ssd, gtx 1080ti, Warthog TM, MFG crosswind, Playseat Air Force, Reverb G2

kurtz667
Thanks for replies, i guess with all new shiny things(wich looks awesome) its a little to much for my rig in VR. although the other modules runs nice. they might require less idk Have you done the usual things to try to resolve, e.g. delete the FXO and Metashader folders? cro_mig_21
Deleting those folders has no efect on the MiG and this stuttering affects only this module

lemoen
Running a 1070 and VR, mig21 does seem to have lower frames than before, or uneven frame timings or something.

kurtz667
Hey kurtz667! Just a bit Off topic here, but yesterday i received my oculus and i'm trying to sett everything up. I also have a GTX1070 and I52500K!. Could you maybe share you NVIDIA and ingame setup so i can follow them? Thanks! For nvidia settings I have power, and texture filtering set to performance, but I didn't really noticed any big difference in DCS. As for DCS setting I have everything set to low and off, mirrors also off. PD at 1.0. Preload radius at 30000 (I have tried to turn it to 0 and to max, no real difference there for me) anisotropic filter to x16. Since you have a better GPU, I would try turning PD up until your HMD start lagging out and then go from there. I still get a solid 45 fps in the mig in VR but it stutters as hell, so it's grounded for now. I pré ordered the F18, so once its released I'll shift my focus to that one. I'm just hoping it will run smooth. O yea, and for you non VR users, who have probs I would suggest lowering msaa or turning it off, since deferred shading is now forced upon us. Hope this helps someone!
