Maybe that's the reason for not have it implemented at full yet for VR.. Wish somebody give an explanation about it .

That's definitely not the reason. That's why there's an option to turn it on or off. But you are right, can we at least get an explanation.

This still isn't fixed for VR. I figured since there was a rain droplet fix in the update, this issue would get some attention. But obviously not.

They are working, i have seen them in the Huey during bad weathers in the ARGO campaign. But only if you are standing or moving very slow and near the ground.

Thanks, but that's not what the issue is. If you run that same mission without VR, you'll see the big difference with the new rain drops effect on a 2d monitor vs. VR.

Ah damn, i missed that. Sorry, you are right. But there may be an explanation for this. Those refraction shaders are very picky when rendered in stereo multi pass mode, i guess in VR we have a different shader working than in 2D.

Have you tried stereo_mode_use_shared_parser = true in graphics.lua?

No. Are you claiming this displays the new rain effect?

Can you explain exactly what this does? Be as technical as you'd like :).

Can we get any info on this bug? Does this work in any VR headset? It doesn't work in the Rifts or Reverb. Should VR users not expect to use this feature since it's been almost 2 years since being "[REPORTED]"?

+1

Raindrops in VR still do not appear like they do in 2D. Tested with Reverb and Rift S (PD 1.0, and no mods)

Hi Pimp

Rain in VR is working for me with VIVE Cosmos, can you do me a short track and maybe a video showing what you are seeing, also which aircraft or is it all?

Thanks for the reply BN. The rain works in VR, however, the new rain drop effects does not work in VR. So you're saying, you're getting the new rain drop effects in your Vive Cosmos? Are you able to provide a screenshot? I provided screenshots of the VR vs non-VR difference a while ago.

And it's happening in ALL the aircraft I've tried.

To be fair it looks better in VR than it does in my screenshot.

But yes I see the rain on the canopy
