Noticed that the radar altimeter is not working correctly, when I was flying on the PG map I was landing on that landing pad on the Burg Al Arab hotel.

As I passed the edge of the landing pad the radar altimeter reading should go from what ever the height is above ground level to a few meters.

It's clearly using the ground level as a simple reference rather than what ever is actually below the aircraft.

Have you tested other modules to see how the radar alt works in the same place?

Maybe is a building problem.

SO, please test that with other modules before reporting a bug that maybe is not related to the Harrier.

Thanks mate.

No luck needed. I have helicopters.

Tested with a Ka-50 and the radar altimeter reacts with the building so, yes, maybe something related to the Harrier radar alt is happening.

Harrier Rad-alt has no problem adjusting during the sideways transition over the Tarawa, going from ~120ft to ~50ft.

Cheers

The AV-8B uses DCS built-in radar altimeter. I don't know what the other modules use for the same sensor.
