Frederf Posted June 2, 2018 Share Posted June 2, 2018 Pretty crazy. Your deck end speed was 98 kts from 24kts stationary. At 1.11G (TWR lookup) that would be 213'. Carrier is 1000' long. I was suspecting this might be a 'special case', but I was able to repeat this take off for a second time, so it felt too easy. Probably, the reason is that in the real life the exact same variable set (carrier speed, wind, turbulences, plane config) needed for such successful take off wouldn't repeat so easily, while in DCS it is as easy as to reload the whole scenario.
