[NO BUG] Taking off from carrier without using catapult

Pretty crazy. Your deck end speed was 98 kts from 24kts stationary. At 1.11G (TWR lookup) that would be 213'. Carrier is 1000' long. Looks reasonable.

Stall speed in that configuration is almost that low and you do hit 130 kt before the bottom of the recovery.

If the WOD is straight down and strong enough to add a buffer; I don't see why not.. as to whether that'd ever be sanctioned in reality... doubt it, unless there's unusual mitigating circumstances, wartime etc.

Thank you for your comments.

I was suspecting this might be a 'special case', but I was able to repeat this take off for a second time, so it felt too easy.

Probably, the reason is that in the real life the exact same variable set (carrier speed, wind, turbulences, plane config) needed for such successful take off wouldn't repeat so easily, while in DCS it is as easy as to reload the whole scenario.

I remember when sex was safe and flying was dangerous.
