mig29smt_fulcrum Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 (edited) Hello. I have been flying the pre release and am absolutely in love with it. While I certainly understand that this is by no means a product near full release with features getting added gradually, I would appreciate whether we can please get an approximate timeline as to when we can expect three things mainly the HARM missile , AMRAAM and Mavericks. Just these three weapons would go a long way in making the hornet more useful in multiplayer. Right now with guided bombs and sparrows combined with the lack of IFF, its an uphill battle. At least the HARM would open up SEAD missions which right now are suicidal against any Sam site using ccip unguided munitions. Edited June 12, 2018 by mig29smt_fulcrum
_e10 Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 Do you think its getting better with AMRAAMs and no IFF? :D Iirc is IFF one of the highest priority at the moment so a timeline for that is... soon I guess. I am sure we will hear about more fancy stuff once those "critical" missing features are here.

Mr_sukebe Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 I’d rather we didn’t have timelines. Things will at times slip, and unfortunately there’s just too many rules lawyers on the net who will cry foul, because they have jack all appreciation of software development. The sad fact is that it usually achieves nothing but create an excuse for moan threads which add no value 7800x3d, 5080, 64GB, PCIE5 SSD - Oculus Pro - Moza (AB9), Virpil (Alpha, CM3, CM1 and CM2), WW (TOP and CP), TM (MFDs, Pendular Rudder), Tek Creations (F18 panel), Total Controls (Apache MFD), Jetseat
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted June 12, 2018 ED Team Posted June 12, 2018 The team are working very hard at the moment but there wont be timelines from ED, when a feature is ready it will be in the patch notes or Wags and Chizh will pass on news. Freeroamer Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Atleast get us the ATFLIR or even for the heck of it copy paste the LANTIRN from the Warthog
SCU Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Atleast get us the ATFLIR or even for the heck of it copy paste the LANTIRN from the Warthog It doesn't work that way. Folks, you have to be patient. The hornet has only been in Early Access for 2 weeks. Learn the current systems and procedures properly, they are quite a handful and enough to get you through to the next batch of new features. BarTzi Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Atleast get us the ATFLIR or even for the heck of it copy paste the LANTIRN from the Warthog Haven't you heard? They plan to overhaul IR texture for it. If it's still planned, that's a lot more than just "copy pasting". Besides, so many features of basic systems are still missing.. why rush?
Oldfox Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Seems reasonable. Common' guys it's just Ctrl-C Ctrl-V! :megalol:
Nightwolf Posted June 13, 2018 Posted June 13, 2018 Surprised no one has commented yet, but the A-10C uses the AN/AAQ-28 Litening targeting pod not the LANTIRN system (Which usually uses 2 pods) on planes like the F-14, F-16, and F-15E.
