caponi Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 (edited) well ... very well  i flow the first "boring" mission ... The arrival :pilotfly: yes ... and i was confused with so much radio chatter  i am not alone in DCS World now i cancel my 100% result and will try it again ... (i am not the last landing guy :() i could not read the subtitles as much they appears ... a totally new impression for DCS single player mode  but one thing would be nice: where could i get more information about the procedures with the radio jumping ? Ground/Dep/Arr/Twr etc ... it is confusing me i.e. Twr switch 5nm before landing :music_whistling: what means charly lima hotel and so on where is taxiway alpha foxtrot and so on ... please do not bann me, but i am a single player with very less experience with the all over DCS ATC :music_whistling: Edited June 25, 2018 by caponi too much ...

caponi Posted June 25, 2018 Author Posted June 25, 2018 you are welcome  and you are the mission king :worthy: too much ...
otaolive Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 I'll try to explain what I know: When taking off you contact ATC in that order: Ground - TWR - Departure Landing would be: Arrival - TWR - Ground Usually GROUND handles with authorizations for your flight plan (useless in DCS ) and taxi to active runway or parking area. TWR has control within 5-10nm for your airport/base. DEP control a wider aerospace when you are leaving some area, and ARR gives you directions for a specific airport / base landing. Charlie / Lima / Hotel are the taxiways - Charlie - C; Lima - L, Hotel - H. You can search for aviation alfabet to see every corresponce. To look for an specific taxiway you should consult the aerodrome chart. I think this is available in the kneeboard for this campaign. :pilotfly: :joystick:
myHelljumper Posted June 25, 2018 Posted June 25, 2018 To look for an specific taxiway you should consult the aerodrome chart. I think this is available in the kneeboard for this campaign. The aerodrome charts are always available for any airport in the kneeboard ;). Helljumper - M2000C Guru Helljumper's Youtube https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK3rTjezLUxPbWHvJJ3W2fA
