pimp Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 Hi All, I use MSI Afterburner but the OSD does not work in VR. At least not for me. Is there an utility that's able to show an OSD through the headset? Thanks in advance!!! i9 14900k @5.6GHz NZXT Kraken |Asus ROG Strix Z790 A-Gaming | Samsung NVMe m.2 990 Pro 2TB | 64GB DDR5 6400MHz EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra | PiMAX CRYSTAL LIGHT | HOTAS Warthog | Saitek Flight Pedals
Quadg Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 turn MSI afterburner off and see if you get better frames. MSI afterburner trashes my framerate and I overclock with an nvidia inspector profile. and have no overclock or monitoring program running when I game. because its just extra overhead. My Rig: AM5 7950X, 32GB DDR5 6000, M2 SSD, EVGA 1080 Superclocked, Warthog Throttle and Stick, MFG Crosswinds, Oculus Rift.

Hi, I wasn't asking because of frame issues. Lately, I've been getting these 2 second freezes and I wanted to monitor my temps during flight. I'll try with afterburner turned off and see if the freezes continue, but are there other programs with an OSD that work with VR? i9 14900k @5.6GHz NZXT Kraken |Asus ROG Strix Z790 A-Gaming | Samsung NVMe m.2 990 Pro 2TB | 64GB DDR5 6400MHz EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra | PiMAX CRYSTAL LIGHT | HOTAS Warthog | Saitek Flight Pedals
Quadg Posted June 28, 2018 Posted June 28, 2018 that sounds like what afterburner did to me. annoying little pauses all the time. it was allegedly fixed in the nvidia driver. but I still don't see this using the same overclock with different software.
